What is Valve and types?
Valves are for starting or stopping flow, regulating or throttling flow, preventing back flow or relieving and regulating pressure in fluid or gaseous handling applications. Common valve types include: Ball,Butterfly,Check, Diaphragm, Gate, Globe, Knife Gate, Parallel Slide, Pinch, Piston, Plug, Sluice, etc.
What is a pinch valve used for?
A pinch valve is a full bore or fully ported type of control valve which uses a pinching effect to obstruct fluid flow.
Does a ball valve reduce flow?
A ball valve is used for opening or shutting off fluid flow through a pipe. The center of the ball has a hole — when the hole and pipe are aligned, fluid can flow. If the hole through the ball is smaller than the bore of the pipe, it restricts the flow. This design is known as a reduced port valve.
What is spring range of control valve?
As the air pressure decreases, the spring(s) moves the spindle in the opposite direction. The range of air pressure is equal to the stated actuator spring rating, for example 0.2 – 1 bar. With a larger valve and/or a higher differential pressure to work against, more force is needed to obtain full valve movement.
