Can a 500mm oven be made in the UK?
Yes its a nightmare. 500mm or under would be perfect. Cooke & Lewis do one at 485mm but for some reason there is none in stock anywhere in the uk. We have a gas pipe behind ours and I thought that all gas cookers were designed to take this into account.
What should be the depth of my oven?
Although an oven is listed as say 550/570 deep or somewhere in between that allows for the faceplate. Mine for example is about 25mm, so 25mm of that 550/570 is outside the cabinet housing at the front leaving that same 25mm extra inside. So the available depth inside the cabinet would only need to be 525/545 for example.
