Can you still park at the MCG?

Car parking is usually available at the MCG in Yarra Park on event days. This land is controlled by the Melbourne Cricket Club and managed on event days by Care Park. Parking costs $10 per vehicle and is payable by eftpos only.

Can I take an umbrella into the MCG?

Umbrellas cannot be raised in seating areas whilst activity is taking place on the arena. Patrons can purchase disposable plastic ponchos at most catering outlets. Alcoholic beverages may not be taken into or from the MCG. Some areas of the MCG are exposed to direct sunlight and heat.

Is the MCG cashless?

The MCG will operate under the Melbourne Cricket Club’s Victorian Government endorsed COVIDSafe Event Plan, which includes dividing the MCG into five zones, cashless payments and capacity limits in food and beverage facilities.

Trams. Three tram routes provide access to the MCG. No. 75 (City-Vermont South) travels along Flinders St and connects with the eastern suburbs via Wellington Parade.

Is there a drip line at the MCG?

Due to the difficulty in accurately classifying any seat at the MCG as “undercover”, even though there is a roof overhead in some sections of the ground, patrons cannot be guaranteed protection from the elements.
